Just finished reading...

You Better Knot Die by Betty Hechtman.*

I first met Betty Hechtman in March 2009 at Left Coast Crime, a few months after the release of her second Molly Pink mystery Dead Men Don't Crochet. Last week, her fifth crochet mystery was released!

It's holiday season in Tarzana, and Molly, the event coordinator at Shedd & Royal books, is preparing for the launch of "Caught Under the Mistletoe" (the latest in a series about a crocheting vampire)where the identity of its reclusive author will be revealed.

Meanwhile, Molly is kept busy by crocheting snowflakes to decorate the store, helping her friend Mason crochet a dog sweater, running interference between her "boyfriend" and her sons, and solving the mystery of the disappearance of her next-door neighbour.

Molly is an eminently likeable protagonist, and the exploits of her crochet group the Tarzana Hookers (pun intended) are generous and humourous. An engrossing light mystery!

*Many thanks to the publisher for the review copy!
