One of my favourite authors died yesterday. I discovered her through her children's books, starting with A Wrinkle in Time, first published in 1962. I was very pleased when she wrote A Severed Wasp, which continued the story of pianist Kathryn Forrester that began in The Small Rain nearly forty years earlier.
She was a brilliant woman, and a gifted writer.
I shall miss her.
