Arthur Ellis Award Winners

The 2012 Arthur Ellis Awards for excellence in Canadian Crime Writing were awarded at a banquet in Toronto last Thursday, 31 May 2012.

The winners are:

Best Crime Novel

Best First Novel

Best Crime Book in French
La chorale du diable by Martin Michaud (Les Éditions Goélette)

Best Juvenile or Young Adult Crime Book
Blink & Caution by Tim Wynne-Jones (Candlewick Press)

Best Crime Nonfiction
Hot Art: Chasing Thieves and Detectives Through the Secret World of Stolen Art by Joshua Knelman (Douglas & McIntyre)

Best Crime Short Story 
What Kelly Did by Catherine Astolfo (NorthWord Magazine)

Unhanged Arthur (Best Unpublished First Novel)
Last of the Independents by Sam Wiebe
